The company’s experience in marine renewable energy projects, has led to a detailed understanding of the importance of mooring design in high energy waters. A suitable mooring spread with the correct positioning can allow small low cost vessels to complete the same work as larger dynamically positioned (DP) vessels, at a fraction of the cost. 

Often using smaller moored vessels for a project can be lower risk that using larger DP ships. The likelihood and consequences of unexpected vessel drift, through DP failure or poor setup can have huge financial impacts and delays to a project. As a result well designed mooring systems can be lower risk and more economical.
